Example #1: Half day tour


THE NEW ØRESTAD


Explore the developing city area Ørestad, in the outskirts of Copenhagen. It is neighboured by a large nature resort, but is at the same time placed in an international traffic junction. Its attractive location and excellent infrastructure makes it the place for city developments of the future! During the tour we visit 8House, VM Mountain dwellings by BIG - Bjarke Ingels Group, as well as Tietgen Student Housing by Lundgaard & Tranberg.

Example #2: Half day tour


THE COPENHAGEN HARBOUR AREA


Take a close look at the transformed harbour of Copenhagen. We visit the redevelopment of Sluseholmen Canal District with 1150 apartments, located on islands separated by dug-out canals. We also explore the Amerika Plaza and its surrounding waterfront neighbourhood. We will get acquainted with architects such as Adrian Geuze/West 8, 3XN, C.F. Møller, Lundgaard &Tranberg and Sjoerd Sjoeters/Arkitema.

Example #3: One day tour


WATERFRONTS IN COPENHAGEN AND MALMÖ


Discover Amager Beach Park which has set a new high standard for coast improvement and urban development with sport and body culture as its crux. The exploration continues with Kastrup Sea Bath, Maritime Youth Centre and Prism Sports and Culture Centre. The second half of the day will include a trip over the Øresund bridge and a visit to Malmö Western Harbour with its new sustainable master plan for quality living.

AARHUS TOWN HALL / AROS ART MUSEUM / CONCERT HALL


Explore the civic and cultural hubs within the dynamic city of Aarhus. We will explore Denmark’s iconic Aarhus Town Hall - a modern, functionalistic building designed by prized Danish architects Arne Jacobsen and Erik Møller, that symbolizes Denmark’s internationally recognized brand of modernism. We will then tour through the new cultural corridor in Aarhus, with visits to the new modern icons of Concert Hall and AroS Art Museum, where we will experience the urban fabric of the city from above within olafur Eliasson’s rooftop “rainbow panorma.”

AARHUS HARBOUR


Aarhus is experiencing an urban renaissance in the transformation of its industrial harbourfront.  From small to large-scale interventions, this tour will guide you through the redevelopment and improvement of the waterfront into a cultural and educational environment. A core feature will be a visit to Schmidt Hammer Lassen’s DoKK1, a new urban media space that represents the library of the future, along with a visit to Dorte Mandrup’s sculptural sailing tower and BIG’s masterplan in development.

Example #6: Half day tour


MOESGAARD MUSEUM / AARHUS CAMPUS


Explore the dynamic expression of industry, education, and culture with this tour of Aarhus. We will  travel through the new architectural landscape of the Mosgaard Museum, a cultural-historical exhibition space binded by a sloping roofscape of grass. We will aslo tour through the internationally recognised University of Aarhus designed by C.F. Møller, as then visit the nearby Goods Station to learn about its indsutrial redevelopment and future potential of new architectural icons within the campus.
