Scaledenmark held a facade-focused study program with delegates from TOT Architects - an architectural practice based in Dublin with a worldwide global network of projects across all aspects of the built environment. Touring with their partners and clients, TOT Architects came to Copenhagen to seek a sustainable, tactile, and solar-shading facade for a large commercial development project. Among the chosen facade typologies, TOT was most inspired by the facade design of Mærsk Tower - a state-of-the-art research facility designed by C.F. Møller (June 2017) along with the sustainable urban landscape designed by SLA. The relief like facade was not only a source of inspiration, but also aligned with TOT Architects' requirements for a high-performance, sustainable building and facade.
