GUIDING ARCHITECTS GENERAL ASSEMBLY MADRID 2026

02.03.2026

Members of the Guiding Architects Network gathered in Madrid for their annual assembly — an event that combines professional exchange, urban exploration, and a shared passion for architecture.

Hosted by the local partner MADRIDES, the meeting offered participants a chance to experience the Spanish capital through curated architectural tours. Walking through historic neighborhoods, contemporary developments, and lesser-known urban spaces, members were reminded of the core mission that connects the network: helping people understand cities through architecture.

Alongside the tours, the assembly included workshops, discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions among members who guide architecture-focused travelers around the world. As always, the program was complemented by the pleasures of the host city — long conversations over excellent food, warm weather, and the lively atmosphere that makes Madrid a favorite destination for design enthusiasts.

A key moment of the gathering was the welcoming of two new members. From Singapore, ArchitourSG, led by Daniel Pillai joined the network. Also becoming part of the community is Bordeaux Architecture Tours, founded by David Vernet, based in Bordeaux.

With these additions, the network now includes 37 independent companies offering architecture tours, educational trips, and expert-led urban experiences in more than 60 destinations worldwide — and the number continues to grow.

Founded as a collaboration of locally based architects, urbanists, and historians, the Guiding Architects Network connects travelers, professionals, and curious locals with the built environment of cities across the globe.

Each member organization operates independently in its city, but shares common standards: expert knowledge, critical perspectives on urban development, and a commitment to making architecture accessible and engaging for a broad audience.

Through tours, lectures, and curated travel programs, the network aims to deepen understanding of how cities evolve — and why architecture matters in everyday life.
